MUSCATINE, Iowa - Leonard Junior Brewer, 90, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Ken Golden will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in Leonard's honor. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Leonard was born on September 11, 1932, in Fairport, the son of Leonard G. and Clara M. Snider Brewer. He married Lois L. Midkiff on June 9, 1957, in Muscatine. She preceded him in death on December 24, 2011.

Leonard served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and going out to eat with his friend, Wayne. Leonard loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Brewer Sr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Timothy Brewer of Coralville, Lori Craner of Wisconsin, and Cynthia Simons and her husband, Kevin, of Muscatine; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and one brother, Lee Brewer of Montpelier.

Leonard is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois; and a sister, Gerene Luker.
