Helen Louise Burkhart
September 27, 1933 - February 6, 2023

Helen Louise Burkhart, of Antigo, was reunited with her husband on February 6, 2023, at Rosalia Gardens Assisted Living. She was 89 years old. She was born on September 27, 1933, in Aniwa, a daughter of Ralph and Lena (Waldvogel) Schroeder. She married Paul Burkhart on October 4, 1952, at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2014.

Helen was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1951. She was employed at Johnson Electric for 10 years retiring in 1986.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, crafts, and bowling. She also loved to go fishing and camping.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl (Gary) Domke of Antigo and Deborah (Jeff Rickert) Wisniewski of Antigo; two sons, Vincent (Judy) Burkhart of Elcho and Russell (Deborah) Burkhart of Gleason; ten grandchildren, Rick (Shalynn) Domke of Antigo, Jason (Sabrina) Domke of Polar, Kimberly (Jim) Rogers of Bryant, Lena (Gene) Rogatzki of Bloomer, Eric (Kate) Burkhart of Carver, MN, Jennifer (Trina) Olson of Green Bay, Nicholas (Denise) Burkhart of Deerbrook, Stephen Burkhart of Antigo, Victoria (Nick) Johnson of Antigo, Cassie (Frank) Wierzba of Hatley; six step-grandchildren, Kelly (Casey) DuChateu of Elcho, Ryan DuChateu of Green Bay, Chris (Audrey) Collins of Iowa, Matt (Megan) Collins of Shawano, Zack Collins of Oconto, Josh Collins of Antigo; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Schroeder of Antigo; six sisters-in-law, Carol Schroeder of Antigo, Alice Fuller of Lily, Mary (Raymond) Gibbs of Gresham, Millie Rudella of Milwaukee, Janice Schroepfer of Bryant, and Marvel Burkhart of Pickerel; and a brother-in-law, Lee (Charlotte) Burkhart of Three Lakes.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Loretta (Schisel) Schroeder; daughter, Vivian Burkhart; daughter-in-law, Debra J Burkhart; grandson, Paul Burkhart, step-grandson, Jonathan Collins; three brothers, Alvin, Howard, and Joseph; and brothers and sisters-in-law.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. George Daniel officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will take place at the Bent Cemetery in Bryant in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association (www.act.alz.org).
