Captain Theodore "Ted" Granger
July 2, 1951 - February 2, 2023

Captain Theodore John "Ted" Granger passed away peacefully at home on February 2, 2023.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY to Theodore and Marjorie Granger on July 2, 1951 and was a faithful son.

He was well known for his warm hello, a laugh that filled the room and his involvement with the Florida Jaycees, Bayside Community Church, a long career at FPL and his safety consulting business.

Ted was a graduate of USF, and CFC Family Church Bible College. He was also the President of the Florida Jaycees and National Vice President of the U.S. Jaycees, a sea captain and a FPL Hall of Famer. He enjoyed boating, tinkering in the workshop, fixing all sorts of things, Photography, computers and helping others. The world is a better place by his example of work ethics and making people see their value and helping many walk in spiritual freedom.

He was survived by his wife, Elaine and son, Thomas, his sisters Dee Dee and Jeannette and their spouses, Jay and Larry as well as his nieces; Jessica, Kim, Kristen, Laura and Taylor, his nephew Daniel and his cousins Genevieve, Bernadette and Carolyn. He also leaves behind a legion of friends and family and those he touched or taught on various subjects.

A celebration of life will be held on February 24th, 2023 at Bayside Community Church, 6609 Manatee Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34209-2316 at 11:00am.
