In loving memory of

Adeline Tomski
July 15, 1936 - February 15, 2023

Adeline Yvonne Tomski, formerly of Deerbrook and Antigo, died peacefully on February 15, 2023, at The Willows in Iola at the age of 86. She was born on July 15, 1936, in the Town of Summit, a daughter of Harold and Pearl (Brendemihl) Oldenburg. She married Ernest Tomski on February 9, 1957, in Iron River, Michigan. She and Ernest raised their family in Deerbrook. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2014.

She was a 1954 graduate of Antigo High School and attended Langlade County Teachers College.

Adeline enjoyed her daily walks and frequent family get-togethers, especially loving holidays and camping trips with her children and grandchildren. Her pastimes included tending to her birdfeeders and flower gardens, playing cards, and viewing deer. Cooking, berry picking, and baking pies were also favorite activities. Folks said her pies could win first prize at county fairs. Adeline also enjoyed weekly ladies' swim meet-ups at a pool in Antigo. She actively supported her children's extracurricular activities at Elcho School. Listening to classic country music really lit Adeline's spirit on fire, bringing her great joy, comfort, and peace. She went to be with the Lord with her favorites playing in the background.

She was a longtime member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Gleason.

Survivors include a son, Robin Tomski of Iola; a daughter, Tami (Steve) Gruhn of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Sandra (Carl) Drexler of Deerbrook; three grandchildren, Ryan Tomski (fiancé Jasmine Henry) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Lindsy Tomski of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Lacey Gruhn of Anchorage; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Tomski, and sisters, Lorraine Sykora and Darlene Oldenburg.

Adeline's children would like to thank both The Willows and ProMedica Hospice for caring for their mother.

In accordance with her wishes, no public visitation or service will be held. A celebration of life will be held for immediate family in the summer.
