In loving memory of

Julie Ann Dooley

Julie Ann (Cline) Dooley (59), of Ames, Iowa, passed away peacefully with family at her side on February 15, 2023. A public visitation will be held on March 4, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care (414 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50010).

Julie was born on August 7, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio, to Edwin and Carolyn (Monto) Cline. She attended Ames High School and graduated with the class of 1981. Julie loved her family, and pictures of grand babies gave her much joy. Julie loved to make people laugh and had a big, generous loving heart. Julie was a thoughtful person who loved to give and make a difference for someone, especially making personal things for people she cared a lot about. Julie was a sensitive soul who would be deeply affected by the unjust suffering of others and would often lament about how she wished the world wasn't this way. Julie loved music, movies, decorating and crafting. Julie loved being creative and would sit for hours listening to her music and making crafts of all kinds. Julie loved music so much she spent great care and time amassing her 10k song music collection. Julie loved to read books and had a pretty good collection that she would read and reread. Julie loved her cats, Ava and Finn, which gave her great comfort and love. Julie loved her home and making it just so. Julie worked for many years as a kitchen manager at the Ames elementary schools, Roosevelt, Sawyer and Meeker. Julie loved her work at those schools. She loved the people and the kids and looked forward to seeing them each day.
