Cynthia Suchomel
April 24, 1957 - February 28, 2023

DeForest, WI - Cynthia (Gray) Suchomel, 65, passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 and into the arms of Jesus with loved ones at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 24, 1957 to the late Merlin "Doc" and Theresa (Barvinchack) Gray. Cyndy graduated from Middleton High School in 1975, then began a 6-year career at Gimbel's followed by 38 years at WEA Insurance. She is survived by her loving husband Jim of 35 years; sons Mitchell and Brock; stepchildren Darryl (Penny), and Pamela (Brad) Mallon, and their children and grandchildren; and sisters Jacki Gray-Hill and Susan Darling.

Everyone who knew Cyndy was blessed by her zest for life, infectious smile, and generous and servant heart. She was a loving wife and mother, dedicated hockey mom, caring and loyal sister and friend. Cyndy loved to camp, host gatherings, travel, and photograph all her activities, scrapbook, make jewelry, craft, and decorate for all the holidays. Most of all, she loved to ride her e-bike and bowl with her husband, and watch her sons play baseball and hockey throughout the years. She lived big, loved big, and will be missed by so many.

"Jim, I am so sorry to hear about your wife's passsing. It immediately brought to mind all the years you and I played softball for McGovern's Club and the great times we often enjoyed with our families thanks to Jerry and Wayne McGovern and Butch and Ramona Maly. We had a unique family of highly successful players and a large support group. Please know that I believe Cyndy is in a better place now and no longer suffering from the terrible pain of cancer. Even though I'm a long ways away, I think of you and our teammates often. Those were the best years of my adult life. Chuck Schell"
