In loving memory of

Charles G. Walters (Torch)
December 8, 1943 - March 9, 2023

Charles G Walters (Torch), passed away March 9th 2023, after a fearless battle with cancer with his loved ones by his side. Born December 8, 1943 to John and Julianne Walters, in Pittsburgh PA.

Charlie moved his family to Sarasota FL in 1983, as he and his brothers were relocating their business American Torch Tip Co, which still resides in Sarasota to this day.

Charlie was an avid golfer, before moving to FL he was a member at Youghiogheny CC in McKeesport PA where he won 7 straight club championships. Once in Florida he was a member of Gator Creek CC and Palm Aire CC, where he won another club championship. Charlie spent summers in Dunkirk NY (Van Buren Point) where he was a part time member at Shorewood CC. He won an additional Club Championship there. Charlie loved his trips to Pebble Beach to compete in the Baseball World Series of Golf. He had 7 hole-in-ones in his amazing golfing career.

Charlie's biggest attributes were the life lessons he shared with family members and employee's along with the friendships he built though work and golf. Needless to say he will be missed by many. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jack Walters Jr, grandson Robby Walters and his wife of 45 years, Sally. He is survived by his Son Charlie Jr (Belinda), daughters Cindy (Gary), Debbie (Mark), and Julie (Joe), sisters Barbara, Johnna, and Betty, and brother Mark, 9 Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren.
