Denise Moon, age 68, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on March 9, 2023.
Denise was born on June 10, 1954 in Grand Haven, MI to Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Louise Reminder of Spring Lake, MI. She attended Spring Lake High School and graduated in 1972. In 1978, while working as a department manager at KMart in Grand Haven she met Paul Moon and they married soon after. Denise and Paul moved around for several years until settling down in Nunica, where they lived until Paul's passing in 2016.
Denise's hobbies included crocheting hats and blankets for her grandchildren, children, and newborn babies. She loved horseback riding with her friends. Denise will be remembered as sassy, strong-willed, stubborn and a fierce fighter for her children and grandchildren, always making sure that they were taken care of. Denise held strong in her Christian faith up until her passing. Denise loved spending time at the cabin that her and Paul built and was able to live there full time for a short while. She enjoyed all of the wildlife, especially watching the dozens of hummingbirds and their babies that would return year after year.
Denise is preceded in death by her loving husband and soulmate Paul, and her parents Frank and Louise Reminder.
Denise is survived by her children; Nicole (Christian) Wynbelt of Rio Rancho NM, Anngela (Sandria Buchanan) Moon of Plymouth, WI, Matthew Moon of Nunica MI, and Michelle (Ronnie) Evans of Nunica, MI She was survived by her grandchildren, Bailie, Evelyn, and Sophia Wynbelt, Prudence and Jude Moon, and Graysen, Oliver, and Jaxsen Evans. She was survived by her three sisters; Kathy Reminder of Spring Lake, Adele (Michael) McCabe of Grand Haven, and Shelley (Daniel) Verbal of Whitmore Lake, and her brother Frank (Patricia) Reminder of Nunica. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Her dog, Jake. And we can't forget Wilma the cat.
A celebration of life is being planned for June.
