"Jimmy was my brother-in-law. I loved him. Jimmy was a man of varied talents. Jimmy had a great talent for gardening and landscaping. He loved growing and taking care of plants. He could take an overgrown eyesore of a yard and make it a thing of beauty...I should know, it was my yard! Jimmy also loved music. He had an incredible memory for musicians and their songs, particularly David Bowie. To Jimmy, there was no one better than Bowie! Jimmy also had a great mind for trivia. He seemed to know a little bit about everything. Jimmy was also a storyteller...and he told some pretty fantastic stories! Jimmy had a kind heart and a generous nature. He would lend a hand when asked and was always surprising his family with little gifts he picked up in his travels. Jimmy was a people person. He loved people. He had many friends, many of whom I never met, but about whom he would often speak...I feel like I know them just from his stories. Jimmy's greatest trait was how much he loved his family. He treasured his sisters and brothers, his nieces and nephews, his in-laws, and other extended family. While I am saddened by his passing, it brings me comfort to know that Jimmy is at peace. I will miss you, Brother Jim! Brendan McGovern "
