In loving memory of

James H Andersen
December 4, 1933 - March 8, 2023

James H. Andersen passed away at the age of 89 years on March 8th, 2023. Jim was above all a family man. He graduated from Roosevelt HS and Seattle University with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Jim is preceded in death by Barbara Lee (Pope) Andersen, his dear wife and best friend of more than 70 years. They met at Roosevelt High School as teens and he was the Senior Class President. Jim enlisted in the Marine Corp at 17, was a veteran of the Korean War, and upon his return he and Barbara married. They had 2 children, Kris and Jim.

Jim's career included designing switches that were used on the Gemini space capsule, starting 3 businesses, and revolved around engineering design and marketing/sales.

Jim liked to try new things. He had a lifetime of learning and built a house he designed at his retirement at 60 years of age. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and sailing with Barbara, Kris and Jim.

Jim is survived by his daughter Krisann Andersen Sinclair and his son James C. Andersen. Also, son-in-law Mike Sinclair, sister-in-law Carol (Pope) Knaack and her husband, the many nieces and nephews he and Barbara loved, and his life-long friend John who he met at age 5.

Jim was a kind man, had an optimistic outlook and always made the best of what life gave him.

He loved us all and was dearly loved in return.
