"Sharon, You have my deepest sympathies. I remember your dad from my days working at Rosalia Gardens. He was always up to doing something to try to help others. We brought him to the WEB backpack program - he loved helping and seeing all the students that would show up to pack backpacks, we went strawberry picking and he wanted to pick row after row, I remember making potato pancakes with him (although I didn't make them right) - he was always looking to do something for others. He even talked me into planting rows of potted plants up the sidewalk at Rosalia Gardens, he called it "Miles of Smiles". I am so glad I got to know him - even if it was for a brief time. "

"I remember Joe as our mailman when I grew up across from the hospital on E 5th Ave! My brother and I sold nightcrawlers for 25 cent a dozen then. Joe would catch us kids and say he was going to Canada fishing and would need 40 dozen. Man, we worked out hind ends off getting those crawlers for him. Several years later I delivered the Milwaukee Sentinel to he and his wife. My condolences to his family. "
