Pauline Mills
September 6, 1933 - April 4, 2023

Pauline D. "Polly" Mills, age 89, of Bradenton, FL, died on April 4, 2023 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton. She was born on September 6, 1933 in Antigo, WI, a daughter of the late John and Hermina (Steckbauer) Morgan. She married Harry C. Mills on November 11, 1953 in Pulaski, WI.

Pauline attended St. John Catholic Grade School and graduated from Antigo High School in 1951. For a time she attended St. Mary's School of Nursing in Wausau, WI. She was employed as an Administrative Secretary for the Sun Prairie Area School District for twenty years, retiring in 1989. She was active in AFSCME Union, Local 60, representing the district's educational support staff as Officer and President. She was also a Life Member of Wisconsin Education Secretaries Association (WESA).

Her hobbies included teaching crafts for many retirement years in Florida, fishing, traveling, camping, cruising, reading, gardening, bird watching, doing puzzles and word games, and enjoying family gatherings. She played the piano and church organ.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of over 69 years, Harry (who has known her since 4th grade); two daughters, Kathleen (David) Pederson and Karen Mills; two sons, Harry (Kathie) Mills and Michael Mills; four grandchildren, Brandon (Martha) Holzhueter, Brittany Holzhueter, Jacob Mills, and Evan Mills; and three great-grandchildren, Carter, Claire and Cohen Holzhueter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer and a sister, Jane.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 10, at 1 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, July 10 at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Polly's name may be directed to St. Jude ("save the children") or The Salvation Army.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Harry, and family, but kept in our hearts forever. Thank you for all your prayers, love, and support during these difficult times.
