Sharon Kolz
February 10, 1947 - April 9, 2023

Sharon S. Kolz, of Antigo, died on April 9, 2023 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 76 years old. She was born on February 10, 1947 in Antigo, a daughter of Lionel and Althea (Petska) Schafer. She married Rodney Kolz on July 11, 1970 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo.

Sharon graduated from Antigo High School in 1965.

She was employed at Wienbrenner Shoe Factory in Merrill for ten years and then at Johnson Electric in Antigo for twenty years. She retired in 2010.

Sharon was a member of the SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. She enjoyed animals and volunteered at the Langlade County Humane Society. She also delivered Meals on Wheels and assisted at the Antigo Area Food Pantry. She enjoyed going to the casino.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Rodney Kolz of Antigo; a sister, Janice (Allen) Zaitz of Wausau, two brothers, Allen (friend Tina Theisen) Schafer of Antigo and James (Janice) Schafer of Iowa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Olson.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 14 at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
