Kim Johnson, 62, of West Des Moines, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Harmony West Des Moines.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Ames Monument & Cremation Center (515-233-3449) is taking care of Kim and his family.
Kim Wallace Johnson was born on September 30, 1960 in Sioux City, Iowa to Loren and Charlene (Olson) Johnson. He graduated from Urbandale High School in 1979 and attended Ellsworth Community College. He was a Carpenter by trade, being affiliated with the Carpenters Local 106 in the Des Moines area. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing.
Kim is survived by his loving daughter Sarah Lange of Austin Texas, grandson Aiden David of Austin, Texas, his siblings; Tim Johnson of West Des Moines, Geri Keller of West Des Moines and Steve Johnson of Charlotte, North Carolina and many members of his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Lori Rathbun and Becky Clark.
