William "Bill" Watters, age 67 of Kirkland, Washington passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2023, surrounded by his wife and children. Bill was born in Seattle on September 28th, 1955, to Thelma and William Watters Jr. He grew up in Ballard and graduated from Ingraham High School, before attending the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington for both his undergraduate and MBA degrees. He then moved to Anchorage, Alaska, to be closer to his parents and help manage the chain of grocery stores owned by his father. After his mother's passing, he moved back to Seattle and became a manager for multiple QFCs in the ensuing years. It was at the Kirkland Park Place QFC he met his wife, Mollie, who he married in 1988. They soon moved to Issaquah, where they raised two sons and two daughters. Bill left QFC after 15 years to help manage Puget Sound Baking company from 2000-2004, then spent his remaining working years as a Community Manager for Walgreens. In his retirement, he moved back to Kirkland, where he enjoyed his daily walks downtown, reading, and spending time with his family. A devoted father, husband, and grandfather, he will be greatly missed. Bill is survived by his wife Mollie, sons William IV and Ryan, daughters Jasmine and London, grandson Charlie, sisters Rae and Denise, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Thelma, father William, and brother Richard. Remembrances in his name are suggested to HopeLink, Northwest Harvest, or your local food bank.
