Dorothy Wild
January 9, 1924 - July 18, 2023

Dorothy Wild, of Antigo, died on July 18, 2023 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. She was 99 years old. She was born on January 9, 1924 in Antigo, a daughter of Ben and Sylvia (Bahr) Strasser. She married Clarence Wild on September 18, 1943 at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2006.

She was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1941.

Dorothy was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Sippl of Eau Claire; a son, Ron Wild of Antigo; seven grandchildren, Cherie (Jeremiah) Luben of Seymour, Tim (Katie) Wild of Shawano, Stacie (Jon) Grafton of Fond du Lac, Katie (Mike) Mullen of Seymour, Jill (Gary) Gray of Arden Hills, MN, Jodi (Travis) Fischer of Eau Claire, and Jessie (fiancé Dan Frank) Sippl of Fairchild; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur (Jeanne) Strasser of New Lisbon and Kenneth Strasser of Wausau.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dan Sippl; daughter-in-law, Marty Wild; a brother, George Strasser; and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Strasser and Ann Strasser.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 24 at 12 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Joel Sember officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery

Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church in Hoffmann Hall.
