Carl Borowczyk
January 30, 1937 - July 19, 2023

Carl F Borowczyk, of Summit Lake, died on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was born on January 30, 1937 in Antigo, a son of John and Martha (Lenzner) Borowczyk. Carl married Mary Jo McKinnon on February 21, 1955 at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. She preceded him in death on September 29, 2018.

He was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1955 and served in the United States National Guard. Carl was employed at Kimberly Clark in Neenah for five years. He owned and operated B & M Bootery in Antigo from 1961 to 1999.

Carl was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho, the Monsignor Conrad Saile Assembly 1214 Fourth Degree and the Council 1002 Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 662, Antigo.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, trips to the Casino and coffee with his friends at Ruby May's. Carl was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed his cat, Louie.

Survivors include a special friend, Mary Bettack of Summit Lake; four daughters, Karen (Richard) Yehle of Oshkosh, Janet (Joseph) Theisen of Weston, Bonnie (Terry) Brand of Antigo, and Barbara (Mike) Boehm of Post Lake; ten grandchildren, Carl (Tina) Vitous, Becky Vitous, Angela (Kevin) Kramer, Eric (Alyssa) Yehle, Jodi (Devin) Kraege, Jamie (Dan) Bernhardt, Adam (Danielle) Brand, Andrew (Rachel) Brand, Mac (Justine) Boehm, and Marne Boehm; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary (John) Marx of Antigo; a brother-in-law, Ed Theisen of Antigo; and sister-in-law, Kitty (Mike) Jilek of Wausau.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Florian Theisen and Joan Juenemann; brothers, Edmund Borowczyk, Jerome Borowczyk, and Raymond Borowczyk.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 25, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.

Visitation will be Monday, July 24 from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home, beginning with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 3:30 p.m., an Elk's Lodge of Sorrow will take place at 5:30 p.m. and a parish wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
