Dale R. Jackson
August 2, 1928 - August 14, 2023
Dale Robert Jackson, of Neenah, died on August 14, 2023 at Valley VNA Senior Living. He was 95 years old. He was born on August 2, 1928 in Langlade, a son of Bert and Margaret (Vorass) Jackson. He married Iris O'Connell on October 14, 1950 in Madison. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2021.
He attended Pickerel Grade School and graduated from White Lake High School, class of 1946.
Dale was a potato farmer and owned Burt Jackson Farms, Inc. until retiring in 1978. He worked part-time at H&R Furniture in Antigo and for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier in the Pickerel area.
He was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pickerel as an Elder and had served on the church council.
Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelley Eaton of Albuquerque, N.M. and Janelle Schroeder of De Pere; a son, Keith Jackson of Appleton; three grandchildren, Kristoffer and Niklas Jackson and Heather Schroeder; three great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Caleb and Summer; and sister-in-law, Jane Jackson of Pickerel.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Neal Jackson; sisters, Florence Klapper and Grace Jackson; and brother, Carl Jackson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 2 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Pickerel with Rev. Richard Kelm officiating. Burial will take place in the Lily Cemetery. Visitation will be held on September 9 from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
