Shirley Mae Servi
November 18, 1936 - September 1, 2023

Shirley Servi, of Antigo, died on September 1, 2023 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 86 years old. She was born on November 18, 1936 in Antigo, the eldest daughter of George and Mae (Plummer) Funk.

Shirley was a member of the "NoteBlenders" singing group, a member of the Christian Women's group, a past President of the Women's Elks Lodge Auxiliary, and a member of the Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting shawls and making rosaries with St. John's and volunteering at the food pantry in Antigo. Shirley was a graduate of Antigo High School with the class of 1954. She met her husband Joe "Chum" on her golden birthday celebration in 1954, they married on September 10, 1955 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Antigo. She resided in Wausau, and in Minnesota before returning to Antigo in 1972. Prior to marriage, Shirley worked at the Palace Theater and for Dr. Kosterman.

Shirley enjoyed traveling south in the winter, and fishing and camping up north in the summer, with the company of her husband, sisters and brother-in-laws. Most of all, she valued every moment with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Shirley took pleasure in nurturing her children and grandchildren, creating a loving home environment that was a refuge for all those who shared her life.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Servi, Jr; four children, Stephen (Rosemary) Servi of Antigo, Victoria (Michael) Seavecki of Appleton, Joseph (Misty) Servi, III of Pickerel, and Lori (Tim) Stieber of Hudson; nine grandchildren, Adam Servi, Jason (Kristi) Servi, Heather (fiancé David ) Servi, Lindsay (Ben) Schmitt, Luke (Amanda) Seavecki, Kalina (Eric) Rojo, Ericka (Adam) Voigt, Stephanie (Melissa ) Servi, and Joseph (fiancé Migdalia) Servi IV; 14 great-grandchildren, and four sisters, Leila (Joe) Zabranski, Marliss Zollpriester, Susie Funk, and Patsy (Jim) Bausman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandi Totten; and brother-in-law, Peter Zollpriester.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 7, at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with, Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church in Hoffmann Hall.

A private entombment will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo.
