Christopher Lawrence Gibbs, passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 37 in Sarasota, Florida. He was born on April 29, 1986, in Eldorado, Ohio.
Chris was a loving and inspiring individual who had a great sense of humor.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Aliyah Jordyn Gibbs (of the home), who was the light of his life. He is also survived by his devoted girlfriend, Tami Nicholson who he loved deeply. Other surviving family members are his cousins, Sara, Lesa, Beth, and Betsy, as well as his dear friend, Mike Hall. He will be deeply missed by many, including Angela Messler ; (mother to Aliyah) Shyann Springer (Sissy) and friends William Layne, Brandon Platt, and Debra Wagner Connie Humphreys.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Donna J Gibbs, and his father, Wayne Lawrence Gibbs.
Professionally, Chris worked as a heavy equipment operator at Holland Enterprise in Osprey, FL. He was dedicated to his career and took pride in his work. Chris worshiped at New Beginnings in Bradenton, Florida. In his free time, Chris enjoyed various hobbies such as listening to music, fishing, hunting, and playing pool.
A Celebration of Life is being planned to honor Chris, and details will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family for the care of his daughter.
