Dennis James Gechas
April 24, 1970 - September 19, 2023

Dennis James Gechas, age 53, died on September 19, 2023 at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc. He was born on April 24, 1970 in Rhinelander a son of Carli (Peter) Kaufman of Antigo and James (Penny) Gechas of Eagle River.

Dennis was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1988. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and received his bachelors degree in Business.

He worked in accounting in Colorado for many years and then returned to Wisconsin 2019.

Dennis was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a step daughter, Brittany Woodcock; a step son, William Woodcock; grandson, Richard Woodcock; two sisters, Beth (Dave) Hoffman and Kari Enders-Kaufman; a brother, Jeff (Katie) Kaufman; and lifelong best friend, Shawn (Lisa) Strutz of Rhinelander. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mel and Josphine Eckardt and paternal grandparents, Stanley and Vivian Gechas.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29, at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Aniwa.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dennis' name may be directed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (www.mda.org).
