MUSCATINE, Iowa - Brandy Lynn Norwood, 44, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Trinity Rock Island.
Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the American Legion. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Brandy was born on August 3, 1979, in Fairfield, California, the daughter of Gerald Dwayne and Irene June Ayres Norwood.
Brandy worked as a CNA for years and took care of the elderly.
She enjoyed everything Disney, Tinkerbell, Harry Potter and liked to read. She loved her son and her parents.
Brandy is survived by her son, Sylar Andrew Honts; parents; close friend, Barb Campbell; half siblings, William E. Hardin, Ronald Price, and Adam Glogauer; and uncles, Robert Ayres and Martin Ayres.
She is preceded in death by her uncles, Lonnie David, Wilbur, and Terry Norwood; maternal grandparents, Ernest and Ester Ayres; and paternal grandparents, James E. and Frances M. Norwood.
