Dale A. Koprek
March 21, 1936 - October 6, 2023

Dale A. Koprek, of Antigo, died Friday, October 6, 2023, at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was 87 years old. He was born on March 21, 1936, in Merrill, a son of Carl and Myrtle (Bixby) Koprek. He married Margaret Lawrence on March 23, 1957, in Cambridge, England. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2011.

He was a graduate of Merrill High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his four years in service, he was stationed in England where he met his wife. Dale worked for the General Telephone Company as a district manager for 36 years and later was a grocery bagger for Copps for 22 years, working with his daughter, Becki, for 15 of those years.

Dale was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was passionate about his Christian beliefs. He proudly served as an usher for many years, was a deacon for a short time, and made sure his family attended Sunday service. He was an active man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, spending time with friends, playing sports, and being an Eagle Scout in his younger years.

Survivors include two daughters, Candy (fiancée Dave Weix) Liedtke of Antigo and Becki (Mike) McKinnon of Antigo; two sons, Mark (Jolynn McKinnon) Koprek of Green Bay and Mike (Amy) Koprek of Neillsville; 12 grandchildren, Jason (Kendra), Heather (Patrick), Heidi (Jereme), Kayla "Charlie", Shane, Jessica (Jordan), Sarah (Josh), Ryan, Madelyn, Olivia, Dominic, and London; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Diane (Gary) Densow of Rhinelander; two brothers, Carl (Rose) Koprek Jr. of Eagle River and Don (Debbie) Koprek of Puyallup, WA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Margaret "Rusty" Koprek.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Dave Karolus officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Antigo Youth Bowling League and Antigo Little League.
