Dr. Lisa Matthews, 62, of Arcadia, Florida, passed away on September 29, 2023 at her home in Arcadia.
Lisa was born in Arcadia to Dr. W. W. and Elizabeth Matthews on October 7, 1960. She went to DeSoto High School and graduated in 1978. She went on to earn a masters degree and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida. She worked as a veterinarian for Paws2help in West Palm Beach for many years. Lisa enjoyed reading, going to the movies, and beading in her spare time.
She is survived by her sister, JoAnn (John) Burtscher, nieces, Susan (Andrew) Bible, Nancy (Will) Holley, Sally (Darin) Hood, Sara (Robby) Walker, eight grand nieces and five grand nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. & Mrs. W. W. Matthews.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
