Eva Hager was born October 16th, 1941 in Rugby, North Dakota to Wendelin W. Richter and Eva (Fettig) Richter. She passed away peacefully at home in Federal Way, Washington on October 21st, 2023.

Eva married the love of her life, Duaine Hager, on April 3rd, 1961. They lived in Harvey, North Dakota, and worked on the family farm until they moved to the Puget Sound area and soon after settled into their Federal Way home in 1968. Eva was a natural caregiver and used her gift of helping others by working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Federal Way Convalescent Center for 15 years. She had a strong faith and was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Eva was loving, hard-working, generous and had many gifts. She had a green thumb and took pride in the beautiful flowers she lovingly cared for throughout her yard. She loved baking, all of her children and grandchildren eagerly looked forward to their annual birthday and Christmas presents of delicious home baked cookies and breads. Eva also enjoyed crocheting, playing pinochle with family, daily walks with her friends, traveling and spending time at the beach. She had a strong love of the outdoors and passed that on to her sons and grandchildren with cherished memories of family backpacking trips, fishing and campfires. Eva was very special and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
