MUSCATINE, Iowa - Cynthia Collins, 56, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at home.

Cynthia was born on October 25, 1967, in St, Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Henry and Rose Marie Hall Gasperson. She married Scott Richard Collins on September 9, 2006, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2023.

Cynthia treasured going out on trips with her husband, Scott. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and showed them love, comfort, hospitality, and humor. Cynthia had many passions and one of those included taking care of her patients. While she enjoyed her work as a caregiver, she also loved to enjoy her life. She liked to go shopping, read, and cook. She carried herself with beauty, dignity, strength, and full of love.

Cynthia is survived by her daughters, Rosana Gasperson and Ebony Sykes; grandchildren, Andi Lynn Tyler, Michael Sykes, Noah McCaleb, Monet McCaleb, and Nyla McCaleb; siblings, Christine Perren, Carole Bayer and husband, Christopher, and Carl Robert Gasperson and wife, Leslie; nieces and nephews, James Theiss, Teresa Lynn Stauffer, John and Matthew Bayer, Amy Bell, and Vincent Charles and Amanda Renee Gasperson; and sister-in-law, Pam Duppert.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Scott; parents; brothers, Charles and Curtis; brother-in-law, Larry; sister-in-law, Linda; and nephew, Ben.
