Skylar Dean Burks, age 17, born on February 28, 2006 in Federal Way, WA, passed away at Harbor View Medical in Seattle, WA on Friday, October 13, 2023.
Our hearts are broken! Skylar was such a cool kid, he had the biggest heart, down for anything and strived to live his life the way he wanted. Skylar was funny, talented, smart, handsome, caring, SO friendly (he could make friends anywhere with anyone!) and loved making music - even wrote his own lyrics!
His spirit will live on within us, in our hearts and memories. He is not only an angel in Heaven but a walking angel on this Earth, having blessed several families with his organs.
May we find comfort knowing he has saved many lives.
Skylar is survived by his mother (Priscilla), his step-dad (Josh Summers), father (Josh Burks), three brothers (Jaike, Gavyn and Jens), sister (Jaden), grandparents (Nana & Papa Hooley, Jojo, Mike & Esther, Lonnie & Julie), aunties and uncles (Tab & Will, Cody & Cory, Destiny, Journey, Mikel, Silver, Mandi, and Gabe), and many cousins (Faith, Hailey & Hannah, Emily & Samantha, Grace, and Emily, Kingston, Hunter, Hoyt & Ruby).
We will celebrate Skylar's life Saturday, November 11 at the Fabulous Fifties Hall in Tacoma, WA from 2pm - 7pm. If you'd like to make a donation to help with medical and funeral expenses, every little bit helps! You can donate here through our GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/3bbce89e
