JOHN HALLER
MUSCATINE, Iowa - John Haller, 64, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

Celebration of Life will be from 2 until 7 p.m., on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the American Legion Post 27, Muscatine. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Muscatine Ag Learning Center. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. John was born on April 7, 1959, in Muscatine, the son of Jesse and Joyce Schmidt Haller. He married Robin Aswegan on December 23, 1978, they later divorced. He married Angela Keeler on June 22, 1991, they later divorced.

He worked for Heinz for over 30 years and was part of the UFCW Local 431. He also worked at the Muscatine Ag Learning Center for over 10 years. He finished out his career at West Liberty Foods.

John was a motorcycle enthusiast and a Chicago sports fan. He enjoyed tinkering, rock music, being a coach and umpiring, and loved Christmas.

He is survived by four children, John Haller and wife, Beverly, Jesse Haller, Michael Haller and wife, Paige, and Caitlyn Dickson and husband, Joseph; two grandchildren, Abby and Olivia; his mother, Joyce Haller; and one sister, Beverly Gerdts and husband, Fred.

John is preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Jimmy in infancy.

He will be missed by many friends from all of his different walks in life.
