"We loved Sandy so much. We took her for her last night out for our monthly card club last month. We could see she was struggling. She was a trooper and played 9 rounds of our game. Sandra L. (Fritsch) Spielbauer, of Summit Lake, age 85, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on November 30, 2023 with family at her side. She suffered from diabetes, heart problems, and kidney failure. Sandra was born on May 24, 1938 in Menasha, a daughter of Ralph and Lucille Fritsch.
She raised her family in Menasha and retired to Summit Lake in 2001. She was a member of Elcho Lioness Club, the Noetzelman-Boodry American Legion Auxiliary and Holy Family Catholic in Elcho.
She is survived by her husband of over 65 years, LeRoy Spielbauer; four children, Kenneth Spielbauer, Glenn Spielbauer, Lori (Mark) Schroeder, and Roy (Theresa) Spielbauer; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Bonnie and Linda.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8 at 6 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 8 at the funeral home from 3 until the time of service.
Burial will take place in the summer at Lakeside Cemetery, Summit Lake.
