Laurel Duff
March 16, 1947 - December 1, 2023

Laurel May Duff, age 76, of Antigo, passed away on December 1, 2023 at Gardenview Assisted Living. She was born on March 16, 1947, a daughter of Ira and Ruth (Turney) Newbury. She married Ivan Duff on June 1, 1963. He left her side on June 2, 2015 after 52 years.

Ivan and Laurie loved to "bum around" as they called it, always driving to a rummage sale a casino or to visit family. Laurie loved to hit Mole Lake and spend time with her cat, Willow. Her girls were her pride and joy and she loved boasting at gatherings, that "You are all here because of me".

Laurie worked as a cook for years in many Antigo restaurants and after becoming a CNA worked in Home Health and later retired from Rosalia Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan; beloved daughter, Cathy; brothers-in-law, Bruce and Lee Duff; sister-in-law, Pat Duff; and nephew, Chuck Duff.

Laurie is survived by daughters, Jane (David) Becker and Kim (Marlin) Balis; grandchildren, Dustin (Angela Trachte) Gregurich, Tonya Gregurich, Garret (Madalyn Petroskey) Balis, Will (Anna Hilger) Balis, Josh Becker, Leanna Becker, and Jeremy (Cassidy) Becker; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Carter, Kolten, Maddie, Jeremy Jr., Leo, and Wyatt; sister, Gaelyn (Tom) Newbury-Kotula; brother, Todd (Marie) Newbury; sister-in-law, Gretchen Duff; brother-in-law, Paul (Ann Marie) Duff; and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at Bent Cemetery.

The family extends many thanks to Aspirus Hospice and Gardenview Staff.
