Wallace Torgerson

Wallace R. "Wally" Torgerson, of Antigo, died Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Rosalia Gardens. He was 91 years old. He was born on September 3, 1932, in Henricks, Minnesota a son of Walter and Ida (Jorstad) Torgerson. He married Donna Berndt on February 20, 1954, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2012.
Mr. Torgerson served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955, having been stationed at the Radar Base in Antigo.
He was employed at Kraft Foods for 35 years, having retired in 1993.
Wally enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Terri Torgerson of Antigo, Sandra (Jeff) Lange of Mosinee, and Laura (Tom) Falk of Antigo; a son, Michael (Ok Cha) Torgerson of Waldorf, Maryland; eight grandchildren, Kori (Chuck) Looney, Drea Torgerson, Patrick Torgerson, Thomas Torgerson, Brian (Tyra) Murray, Kristie Falk (Mike Tiedemann), Nicole Falk (Mike Burg), Kate Falk (Eric LeSage); nine great-grandchildren, Dakota, Annika, Xaria, Taylan, Naomi, Emily, Collin, Cade, and Laney; and one great-great-grandchild, Quinnley.
In addition to his wife, Donna, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Lunde and Bernice Houtkooper; and a brother, Kermit Torgerson.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 18, at noon at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. George Daniel officiating. Military Honors will take place at the church following the Mass. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home
