FRANCES MARIE WHISLER
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Frances Marie Whisler, 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Muscatine UnityPoint Hospital.
Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Greenwood Cemetery. Reverend Bruce Martin will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in her honor to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
Frances was born on September 21, 1937, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Edward and Kathleen Hedgespeth Allen. She married Albert G. Whisler on March 17, 1957, in Wynette, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2002.
Frances retired from HON after 26 ½ years. She was an avid bowler, playing in weekly leagues, and enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Frances is survived by her children, Linda J. Ward (Michael), Joseph E. Whisler, and Gerald L. Whisler (Laurette); 5 grandchildren, Dustin Whisler (Jessica), Donovon Whisler, Lindsay Motto (Michael), Christopher Ward, and Jennifer Seimo (Brian); 3 great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Owen Whisler and Ethan Motto; siblings, Barbara Metaka, Brenda Dotson, and Kenneth Allen; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her companion of 20 years, Don Dickey.
