Calvin Krueger
April 15, 1948 - January 1, 2024

Calvin Krueger, of Antigo, died on January 1, 2024 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 75 years old. He was born on April 15, 1948 in Antigo, a son of the late Raymond and Linda (Borneman) Krueger. He married Paula Duffek on June 21, 1969 at Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo.

Cal was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1966. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point receiving a bachelor's degree in Economics.

Cal was an owner of Duffek Sand and Gravel until his retirement in 2018. Cal was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church, having served on various boards and committees over the years.

He enjoyed spending time at his cabin on Post Lake, tending to his hunting land in Lily, elk hunting out west, fishing in Canada, and traveling to Arizona. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who cherished the time he spent with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Paula; three sons, Dr. Kori (Heather) Krueger of Marshfield, Casey (Shari) Krueger of Portage, and Nick (Sara) Krueger of Antigo; grandchildren, Corbin and Isabel Krueger, Callie, Wesley and Josephine Krueger, Kruze Krueger, and Connor Cornelius; two brothers, Randy (Jeanne) Krueger and Larry Krueger; and two sisters, Charlene Pettey and Sharon (Russell) Wilson;

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tom Pettey; and sister-in-law, Janet Krueger.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 5, at 12 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
