Thomas Arthur Killian
October 19, 1937 - December 20, 2023

Thomas Arthur Killian passed away in the presence of his adoring family on 12/20/23 in Bradenton, Florida from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Thomas was 86 years old at the time of his death. He was born on October 19th, 1937 in Sidney, Ohio to Vera (Stockstill) and Arthur Killian. Thomas graduated from Cincinnati University in 1960 with a degree in Accounting and enjoyed participation in fraternity life with Pi Kappa Alpha and Army ROTC. He met the love of his life, Sally Shatto, in 1955 at Sidney High and married her in 1959 at Sidney Methodist Church. Tom served in the US Army during the Cuban Crisis' of the early 1960's. Following his military service, Tom earned his CPA license and worked in several large firms and smaller companies. Tom and Sally have two children: Leslie and Matthew. Tom's career took the family to Newport News, Virginia; Dayton, Ohio; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Grand Rapids, Michigan and finally south to the Central Florida town of Ocala. Thomas obtained his MBA in 1988 and then taught at a local trade college for years. After 20 years, in 2002, Tom retired from Lockhead Martin (Defense Contractor) and moved with Sally to Bradenton, Florida near his daughter living in St. Petersburg, Florida. Tom had a love for God, his country, history, sports, biking, Florida beach sunsets and water activities, such as fishing, boating and snorkeling. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and brother David (1995). He is survived by his wife Sally, daughter Leslie, son Matthew, daughter in law Jacqueline, sister Susan, grandchildren Jacob, Stephanie and Nicholas and great grandchildren: Harrison, Wesley and Rowan. Thomas is to be interned at the Sarasota Veterans Memorial Cemetary in Sarasota, Florida. The ceremony will be a Military burial with gun salute and flag folding presentation.
