James P. Fischer
November 29, 1943 - January 6, 2024
James P. Fischer, passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on November 29, 1943, in Scranton, PA. Devoted husband of Anna May "Chi-Chi" Fischer (nee Marchini) for 53 years. Beloved father of Jacqueline Nessola- Fischer (Keith), Brian McIntyre and the late James Daniel Fischer. Loving Pop of Nico Nessola and Dante Nessola. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
James dedicated his life to hard work and loving his wife, daughter, and grandsons. After serving on the USS Saratoga in the US Navy, he became a member of the boilmaker union, and then pursued a career in the asphalt industry starting his own company, J.P Asphalt Paving. His dedication and passion for his work earned him the admiration and respect of his family, friends, and customers.
Outside of his professional life, James was an active member of his community. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge in Deptford and the VFW in Bellmawr. James valued every minute of everyday with his wife, family, and dog Phoebe.
There will be a viewing Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10am to 12 Noon at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Service will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will be held at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
