In loving memory of

Laurie Voltz
March 28, 1966 - March 16, 2024

Laurie Sue Voltz, of Antigo, died on March 16, 2024 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital surrounded by family. She was 57 years old. She was born on March 28, 1966 in Lac du Flambeau, a daughter of the late Thomas and Laura (Warren) Brendemuehl.

She was a graduate of Elcho High School. Laurie enjoyed doing concrete work for Musson Brothers though she often dreamt of opening her own cafe. She was currently employed at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Antigo.

Though best known and loved for her sense of humor and spicy personality, she was caring, generous, and loved her children fiercely. Beloved by her friends and partners in crime, Roxie and the late Marvel.

She was an animal lover but held a special place for her grand-dog, Benz. She loved music, the Green Bay Packers, and a good cup of coffee. She was a person who would always answer when you called, enjoyed late-night talks about spirituality and existentialism, and loved sharing stories and jokes. She was beautiful inside and out and will be deeply missed by many.

Survivors include a son, Zachary (MaCaela) Pomar of Bryant; a daughter, Shannon Tarantino of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Emma, Michael, Max and Mathew; a sister, Pam Santos of Milwaukee; and two brothers, Jay Brendemuehl and Jeff Brendemuehl.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

No services will be held. A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date.
