Michael B. Waters
September 28, 1932 - March 19, 2024

Michael B. Waters, of White Lake, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Rose Mary Manor. He was 91 years old. He was born on September 28, 1932, in Langlade, a son of Thomas and Mabel (Shannon) Waters. He married Carol "Jean" Buch on October 21, 1958, in Milwaukee.

He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956. Mike and Jean lived in Milwaukee for a brief amount of time until moving back to White Lake. He worked for Dierck's Potatoes for over ten years, Soo Line Railroad for one and a half years. Mike worked in the lumber yard of Robbins Inc. driving a forklift for 23 years until his retirement in 1996. After retirement, he helped at Wahleithner's Farm.

Mike was a member of Anderson-Sather American Legion Post 524, White Lake for 60 years. He was also with the White Lake Volunteer Fire Department and volunteered with the department's annual fishing derby fundraiser. Outside of work, Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent much of his free time on his hunting land, cutting firewood, and enjoying the outdoors. He also enjoyed golfing with his wife and sitting on his porch swing. Mike was known to have a sweet tooth and always looked forward to dessert.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Jean Waters of White Lake; three sons, Michael (Debbie) Waters of White Lake, Jeffrey (Jill) Waters of Polar, and Steven (Debbie) Waters of Black Creek; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel Pavek of Polar, Norma (Richard) Doemel of Canada, and Criss Kielcheski of White Lake; five brothers, Charles (Sue Hawley) Waters of White Lake, Terry (Bonnie) Waters of Kaukauna, Andy (Melissa) Waters of MN, Arthur (Sharon) Waters of Appleton, and Russell (Marcie) Waters of Appleton; four grand-dogs; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Waters; sisters, Lois (Carl) Grabarczyk and Peggy Waters; and brothers-in-law, Robert Pavek and John Kielcheski.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 4 beginning at 1 p.m. at the White Lake Community Center.

Mike's family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Rosemary Manor Assisted Living and Compassus Hospice for the care they showed him.
