Joseph W. Servi, Jr., of Antigo, died Monday, March 25, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital at the age of 91. Born on September 29, 1932, in Antigo, Joe was the third son of Joseph and Mona (Rose) Servi. He married Shirley Funk on September 10, 1955, at St. Mary Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on September 1, 2023.
He was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1950. Joe served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict on a Naval Destroyer. Following his marriage to Shirley, Joe began his career working for the National Cash Register company as a systems specialist and branch manager. In the 1970s Joe moved his family to Antigo and became owner of Clermont Printing focusing on the sales of equipment and office supplies until his retirement in 1996.
Joe was a member of Msgr. Conrad Saile Knights of Columbus Council 1002, Antigo, and the Langlade County Trap League. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, bowling, and was an avid reader. After retirement, Joe and Shirley enjoyed their time traveling. Above all else, Joe cherished being a husband and father, loved spending time with his family, and expressed to his children "You are and were my life".
Survivors include two sons, Stephen (Rosemary) Servi of Antigo and Joseph (Misty) Servi, III of Pickerel; two daughters, Victoria (Michael) Seavecki of Appleton and Lori (Tim) Stieber of Hudson; nine grandchildren, Adam Servi, Jason (Kristi) Servi, Heather (fiancé David) Servi, Lindsay (Ben) Schmitt, Luke (Amanda) Seavecki, Kalina (Eric) Rojo, Ericka (Adam) Voigt, Stephanie (Melissa) Servi, and Joseph (Migdalia) Servi, IV; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry (Rosalie) Servi, Edward (Catherine) Servi, and Vernon (Margaret) Servi; and sisters, Rosella (Peter) Jagla and Armella (Jack) Bunten.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 1 at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. George Daniel and Rev. Charles Hoffmann concelebrating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Antigo Veterans will be conducting military honors. Visitation will be on Monday, April 1 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass in Hoffmann Hall at church.
