Dennis Joseph Sullivan
November 17, 1972 - March 25, 2024

Dennis Joseph Sullivan "Joey", passed away Monday March 25, 2024 with his wife Lisa and his sister Tonya at his bedside.

Joey was born November 17, 1972 in Glendive Montana to Phil and Marge Sullivan.
In 1984 Joey moved with his family to the Bitterroot Valley where he graduated from
Corvallis High School in 1991.

He then went to Nuclear Power School and became a Submariner for the United States Navy. He was in the Dessert Storm War aboard the USS Finback. He was honorably discharged from the Navy after 6 years of service in 1997 with the following awards, Navy Achievement medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy E Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal W/Bronze Star, Navy Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Sea Service Ribbon W/ three Bronze Stars, Navy Artic Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Expert Marksmanship Ribbon(rifle), Expert Marksmanship Ribbon(pistol). His submarine was decommissioned from service the same year.

Joey's last duty station was Bremerton Washington. He fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and decided to plant roots in the Seattle area.

He started dating Lisa Martineau in 2002 and they were married October 23, 2010.
Joey and Lisa welcomed two daughters to their family, Charley on September 16, 2013 and Sadie April 2, 2018. Joey had a soft spot in his heart for cats and had many over his lifetime.

He was in the IT field for 20 years. He was an accomplished realism artist and fine woodworker. He was a true cinephile, having a passion for films and film theory. He loved spending time with his family camping, watching movies, mountain biking and riding electric scooters. The greatest part of Joey's life was as a husband and father.

Joey is survived by his beautiful wife Lisa and daughters Charley and Sadie. Sisters Tonya Jackson-Smith and her husband Bret, Kyra Sullivan and Peggy Wolf. Brothers John Sullivan and wife Joy and Don Sullivan and wife Mischel. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Joey was proceeded in death by his parents Phil in 2020 and Marge in 2001, as well as his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
