In loving memory of

Marion Schramm
March 12, 1928 - April 9, 2024

Marion Louise (Lamphier) Schramm, 96, of Clermont, FL, began her heavenly journey on April 9, 2024. Marion was born on March 12, 1928, in New Britain, CT, to her loving parents, Frank and Anna (Fijol) Lamphier. Marion was of the Catholic faith, a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, and a devoted parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church in Blackwood NJ. Those who knew her at St. Judes would say she was the cornerstone of the church. Marion would marry the love of her life, William Francis Schramm, in 1953. The two would spend fifty-three glorious years together. She became a resident of Florida in October 2012, traveling from Blackwood, NJ, with her family during Hurricane Sandy. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Jude for 50 years. She was a coordinator of the St. Jude Prayer Line from 1985 to 2012. She was a Eucharistic minister for 35 years and a member of the Mary Mother Queen of Peace Prayer Group. Those who had the honor of having Marion pray for them knew that her lips were close to God. Marion loved to spend her time praying, gardening, reading, and sewing. Her love for crocheting was shown through the seventy-eight afghans that she made for her family. Marion was a gracious, kind, and patient woman. Those who came to know her refer to her as a living saint and an angel on earth.

Marion is survived by her beloved daughters, Annette Severino (Tony), and Diane Courtois (Len), beloved sons, Kevin Schramm (Ellie), William "Bill" Schramm (Monica), loving brothers Dwight Lamphier and Roy Lamphier, loving sisters Evelyn Niland and Dolores Egan, and beloved grandchildren Nathan, Erica, Ian, Eric, Zachary, Brandon, Liam, and great-grandchildren Jaqueline, William, and Thomas, and many nieces and nephews. Marion is predeceased by her loving parents Frank and Anna Lamphier, beloved son Gregory Schramm, loving brother Frank Lamphier, and loving sister Irene Watitt.

There will be a graveside service held on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 11am at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Blackwood, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Superior Residences of Clermont, 1600 Hunt Trace Blvd, Clermont FL 34711.

"Marian was a blessing to the neighborhood. She was always gracious. My son spent many happy hours visiting her grandson, Nathan, when we visited my parents two doors away! She always took an interest in what was happening to the children in the neighborhood, delighting in seeing the girls dressed in their prom gowns, etc. I always borrowed from the Schramm encyclopedia set when I had reports to do for school! I am so happy to have such lovely memories of her!"
