Karl Miller
July 31, 1951 - February 25, 2024

Karl Hutchinson Miller, (formerly of San Jose, CA) suddenly passed away while sleeping at his home in Blackwood, NJ, on February 25, 2024, at the age of 72.

Karl was a 1969 graduate of Woodbury High School, Woodbury, New Jersey; and a 1973 graduate of Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina and played varsity tennis at both schools. After college he worked in corporate sales with Canon Towels and with Jelco Medical Supplies. He left corporate sales to found Jersey's Cheesesteaks and Jersey's Tavern in Campbell, California.

Karl is a former member of the San Jose Seahawks Rugby Football Club and also played supporting roles in a number of theater productions at the San Jose Center for Performing Arts including: Jesus Christ Superstar, Music Man, Paint Your Wagon, and Oklahoma.

In his later years Karl sought to help those who are struggling with addictions and to share his Life in Jesus Christ with others.

Karl is the Beloved son of Georgiana H. Miller; Loving father of Lauryn Miller-Hopkins (Pat), Elizabeth Miller, and Emily Miller-Hopkins (Tim); Grandfather of Hayley and Sadie; Dear brother of David Miller and Katie Elliott (Mark); Cherished uncle of Catherine Ann Spinowitz (Daniel), David Miller, Mark C. Elliott (Amanda), Tara Rush (Ben), and Ryan Elliott; Great Uncle of Madelyn Spinowitz, Chase Spinowitz, Olivia Rush, Grant Rush, and Hannah Rush.

Services were held at Hope Christian Fellowship in Woodbury, New Jersey on Friday, March 1st; and a memorial and celebration of Life service will be held at Santa Theresa Hills Presbyterian Church in San Jose, California, Saturday, May 11th.
