In loving memory of

Rhoda Marcella Pawlak
November 5, 1935 - April 11, 2024

Rhoda Marcella Pawlak of Newcastle Washington passed away to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on April 11, 2024, at 88 years of age. Our mother faithfully attended Crossroads Bible Church in Bellevue, Washington for over 25 years participating in the church's spiritual community.

She was the eldest daughter of Julian and Bertha Ray, born November 5, 1935, in Los Angeles California. Although born in Los Angeles, she spent much of her later childhood and had some of her fondest memories in Popular Bluff, Missouri. She often remembered her early education in a one-room schoolhouse where her teacher taught her how to learn.

She graduated from Los Angeles High School, attended Los Angeles City College and California State University - Dominguez Hills. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting, from City University of Seattle. She was a licensed CPA and a long-time member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accounts. She enjoyed a 40-year career with Kawasaki, Kisen, Kaisha, Ltd., and its subsidiaries, much of which she served as a corporate officer.

She was married to Conrad for over 30 years, who she survived. She leaves behind three children, Kurt, Regina, with her husband Jack, and Clark. She is also survived by three sisters, Mary, Twila, and Kathie, seven grandchildren, and ten nieces and nephews.

Rhoda will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens alongside her husband Conrad. A celebration of her life will be held at Northside Church of Christ in Farmington, New Mexico, on Friday, May 3. Please do not send flowers or other memorial decorations. Instead, please donate to Northside Church of Christ, Attn: Chuck Marshall, Minister, 401 W 20th St, Farmington, NM 87401.

Although we mourn the loss of our mother, we celebrate her life.
