In loving memory of

Cierra Parnell
September 30, 1985 - April 14, 2024

Cierra Parnell, a beloved daughter, sister, and cherished friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 14th, 2024, at the age of 38. She departed peacefully at Seattle's Virginia Mason Hospital, following a lifelong battle with epilepsy, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Born on September 30, 1985, in Bremerton, WA. to Kevin and Charlene Parnell, Cierra grew up immersed in a world of music and sports. She attended North Kitsap High School, where she showcased her talents in piano, drums, softball, baseball, and football. Cierra had a special affinity for Maui, a place filled with cherished family memories. Despite her epilepsy, she pursued adrenaline-filled activities like snowboarding and motorcycle riding with fearless enthusiasm, always eager to embrace a challenge.

Cierra's passions extended to quilting, cross-stitch, music, landscaping, and cheering on the Seattle Mariners. She was also a devoted Seahawks fan, her passion for the team matched only by her unwavering love for her family. A skilled woodworker, she also found joy in her work as a cabinet maker, a craft she pursued with dedication.
After some time in Arizona working as a cashier at Circle K, she returned to the Pacific Northwest in 2018, where she continued to engage with the community and her hobbies.

Her commitment to helping others was evident in her decision to be an organ donor, a choice honored by the hospital with an "Honor Walk" to celebrate her selfless act. She was able to save 4 lives!

Cierra's mother, Charlene, cut her hair one final time to be donated to "Locks of Love," continuing a tradition Cierra herself had upheld.

While her physical presence may be gone, Cierra's warm spirit and kindness will live on through her family, friends, and those she has helped. She is survived by her mom, Charlene Hayes and step dad, Eddie Clark. Brother Tyler Parnell, his wife Amanda, and their daughters Oakley and Rylee. Sister Carsyn Ford and husband Jack. Sister Ca'Brya Elmer. Grandparents Bill and Vivi Ann Parnell. Aunt Karen and Uncle Rick Smalley. Aunt Carolyn Offenbacker. Great aunt Barbara Leask.
Step brother Peter Wickstrom. Step sister Jacqui Baker. Her adoring boyfriend Tristan Heberlein.... And her many cousins.

A Celebration of Life was held in her honor at the home of Bill and Vivi Ann Parnell on April 16th, for close family and best friends. Her ashes will be spread onto the beautiful blue waters of Maui in the Fall.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to an Epilepsy Foundation, continuing Cierra's legacy of impact and care. Cierra will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a beacon of love, strength, and resilience.
