Harvey Joseph Johnas
October 2, 1934 - June 16, 2024

Harvey J Johnas, 89, of Bellevue, WA passed away peacefully under hospice care on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Harvey was born on October 2, 1934 in Wausau, WI son of the late Emil and Mary (Albrecht) Johnas. He joined the Army in 1954 and served for 16 months in South Korea and later joined the Air Force Reserve. He attended college at the University of Wisconsin where he received a degree in Industrial Technology. Shortly after graduating he began working at Hamilton Industries of Two Rivers, WI. He first started his career by drafting and then later went into sales.

Harvey married Gloria S Craig of Glasgow, KY in 1970 and moved to Bellevue, WA where their son Craig was born. His wife preceded him in death on November 8, 2013. He is also preceded in death by his son Jeffrey (from a previous marriage) and sisters Millie (Ray) Urmanski and Marge (Frank) Mullen. He is survived by his son, Craig (Julie), grandson Jayden; niece Gail (Chuck) Reynolds and their son Rick; nephew Dale Mullen and his children Renee and Matthew.

Harvey enjoyed spending time outdoors skiing, playing tennis and hiking. His favorite hiking spot was Snow Lake Trail,
which he hiked over thirty times. He also enjoyed sight-seeing, art, watching football and spending time with family.

A memorial mass will be held at 9am, July 11, 2024 at St. John Vianney, Kirkland.

Harvey will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery after mass with a Private Family Gathering.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center of Seattle for breast cancer
research or Seattle Children's Hospital Foundation for spinal muscular atrophy care.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the many individuals who cared for Harvey in the last year and
a half.
