Gordon Douglas Anderson
June 10, 1935 - August 11, 2024

Gordy was 89 years young when he passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024 in Federal Way, WA, after a short battle with cancer.

He leaves behind his wife of 47 years Sharon, of Tacoma, WA, his daughter Kim Gosney of Yelm. WA, step-son Bob Crawford, of Ephrata, WA, a step-daughter Sherry Whitmore of Auburn, WA, nephew Jason Anderson of Auburn, WA, niece Shelly Dodds of North Vancouver BC, Canada, nephew Jim Dodds of Bellingham, WA, nephew Robert Dodds of Canada, several nieces and nephews in Canada and Washington, grandchildren and great granddaughter, sister and brother in law, Judy and Jerry Roxbury of Spanaway, brother in law Ray Kissel of Mead, OK, brother and sister in law Ron and Dee Kissel of Canute, KS, brother and sister in law Tom and Mary Smalley of Independence, KS, and brother and sister in law Walter and Bobbi Kissel of Tacoma, WA.

Gordy is preceded in death by his parents Blanch and Samuel Anderson of Canada, son Terrance Anderson of Tacoma, WA, Brian Anderson of Bonney lake, WA and his sister Mary Dodds of Mission BC, Canada.

Gordy worked for the Great Northern Railroad in Canada before transferring to Washington in 1962 to work for Burlington Northern Railroad in Auburn and Tacoma, WA for 29 years. He then went to work for Cooler Technology in Puyallup, WA for 13 years, and then Genuine Napa Auto Parts of Federal Way, Puyallup, Sumner, and Kent for 18 years.

Gordy loved traveling all over the country especially the 52 day trip to the South Pacific, which included Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji with his wife Sharon.

Gordy will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
