In Loving Memory of Pamela Irene Funk
Pamela Irene Funk, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her home in Auburn, Washington on August 2, 2024. Pamela was born on January 11, 1948 to the late Edward and Estelle Glaze.
Pamela will be remembered for her infectious energy, smile, quick wit, and the warmth she brought to the lives of those around her. A wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, she touched the hearts of many with her kindness and generosity.
Throughout her life, Pamela Funk embodied kindness and compassion. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of friends and family alike. Her legacy of love will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in her journey. Pamela was known to give shelter and love to those that needed it.
Pamela Funk is survived by her loving family, including her husband George Funk (married April 27, 2002); sister Linda Merryfield; her children Tina Cervantes (Jesus), Melissa Nordstrom, Cindy Abraham, Maureen Dowsett (Jeremy) and Katherine Nordstrom; her grandchildren Anna Wagner, Christine Briones (Daniel), Alan Nordstrom, Jesse Nordstrom, Jacob Lonergan, Tatiana McKenzie (Zach), Vanessa Dowsett, Kaylynn Phelps (Lance), Brandon Rojas, Jeremy Dowsett, Jr., Alexander Abraham and Graysen Nordstrom; her great grandchildren Luke Wagner, Bianca Briones, Tobie Wagner, Olivia Briones, Cameron Wagner and Isaiah McKenzie; a host of nieces and nephews in Washington and on the East Coast. Pamela is predeceased by her parents Edward and Estelle Glaze; her brother James Glaze and her sister Maureen Coley Vermillion.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her strength will continue to inspire generations to come.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 28 at Soos Creek Botanical Garden in Auburn, Washington for friends and family are invited to join in remembrance and support during this difficult time. Pamela was a passionate dog lover that would love to visit the human society where she had adopted her late dog Baxter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Auburn Valley Humane Society https://www.auburnvalleyhs.org/donate to honor Pamela Funk.
