Russell J. "Hokey" Marvin, of the Town of Harrison, passed away peacefully at his home on September 24, 2024, under the loving care of his wife, family, and LeRoyer Hospice, after a 6 year battle of cancer. He was 60 years old. He was born on October 8, 1963 in Antigo, a son of the late Jerome and Phyllis (Smith) Marvin. He married the love of his life, Bethany Korbisch, on September 1, 2012 at their home.
He was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1982. During and after high school, Russell was self-employed along with two of his brothers; William and Jeffrey. They started farming together in 1976 under The Marvin Brothers.
Russell, otherwise known as "Hokey", loved farming and making fire wood. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music and going to concerts, spending time with his wife and brothers, and taking his dogs for daily truck rides. He was an esteemed woodworker, he could craft without a blueprint, only using his eyes and his talent.
Hokey will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and furry companions, Charlie, Hank, and his many cats.
In addition to his wife, survivors include brothers, Richard (Janice), Jeffrey and William (special friend Cathy) Marvin; sister-in-law, Marie Marvin; mother and father-in-law, Doreen and Mark Korbisch; brothers-in-law, Mark Jr. (special friend Rachel) Korbisch and Peter (Katie) Korbisch; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother, Mark Marvin.
In accordance to his wishes, no funeral services will be held. A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later time.
