Gwen Tatro
November 8, 1939 - October 31, 2024

Gwen Tatro, of Antigo, died on October 31, 2024 at Rosalia Gardens under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 84 years old. She was born on November 8, 1939 in Green Bay, a daughter of the late Harry Brandt and Violet (Piper) Slater. She married Glen Arrowood in 1957, the couple had three children and later divorced. She married Dan Tatro on May 5, 1967 in Shawano. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2019.

Gwen was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1957. She owned and operated Gwen's Cafe in the Listle Building in downtown Antigo.

She loved to entertain family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, shooting pool, cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Jody (Daniel) Lenzner of Aniwa, Janell (Lynn Lemiesz) Tatro of Ripon, and Julayne (Mark) Stadler of Birnamwood; two sons, Jay (Lynn) Arrowood of Antigo and Jamie Arrowood of Antigo; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and four great, great-grandchildren; four sisters, Cheryl Stone of White Lake, Shelia Johnson of Weston, Shaughn Novy of Antigo, and Shannon (Tony) Radun of Florida.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Jonnie Tatro; a daughter-in-law, Mary Arrowood; a brother, Gary Brandt; and two brothers-in-law, Dennis Johnson and Dennis Novy.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo with Rev David Karolus officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Phlox.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and on Tuesday, November 5 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Rosalia Gardens for the wonderful care they provided.
