Gwen Marie Johnson was born on July 17, 1959 to Maynard and Ellen Johnson in Windom, MN. She was baptized at the Windom United Methodist Church and later became a member at the Amo United Methodist Church.
Gwen attended the Swan Lake Day Activity Center in Delft, MN, where she was one of the first people to attend the center. She later attended Winfair School in Windom and returned to the Swan Lake Day Activity Center. For the past 24 years, Gwen has lived at Ridgewood in Worthington.
Gwen enjoyed music and desserts, but most of all loved her family.
On Friday evening, October 24, 2008, Gwen passed away at the Sanford Hospital in Worthington, MN at the age of 49.
She is survived by her loving parents, Maynard and Ellen Johnson, of Storden; brothers & sisters, Gary Johnson and his wife, Julie, of Sartell, Kristi Thomason and her husband, Al, of Aloha, OR, Dean Johnson and his wife, Elizabeth, of Heron Lake, and Amy Dahlhoff and her husband, Mike, of Colorado Springs, CO; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Gwen is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her brother, Royce Steven Johnson.
