Rodney P. Kolz
June 19, 1948 - January 7, 2025

Rodney P. Kolz, of Antigo, died on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was 76 years old. He was born on June 19, 1948 in Milwaukee, a son of Robert and Marie (Muench) Kolz. He married Sharon Schafer on July 11, 1970 at St Hyacinth Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on April 9, 2023.

He was a 1966 graduate of Antigo High School.

Rodney was employed at Zelazoski Wood Products for 38 years. He then worked for Goodwill in Antigo for 4 1/2 years retiring in 2012. He was a member of SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church.

He was a past member of the Monsignor Conrad Saile Knights of Columbus Council 1002 and the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 662, Antigo.

Mr. Kolz enjoyed watching and feeding birds and relaxing on his deck. He enjoyed all sports and trips to the casino. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at the Antigo Food Pantry.

Survivors include two sisters, Renee Kolz and Cheryl (David) Elam all of Antigo; two brothers, Randy Kolz of Antigo and Tom Kolz of Milwaukee; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

"Rodney was a great neighborhood friend when we were growing up. He sure loved his Brewers and Packers! I still was seeing him every week this year delivering meals on wheels to his place..we always had a nice chat. That he passed kind of shocked me..I thought he was doing ok"
